Perfect for experienced TILLS users!
Are you a TILLS beginner? Attend the Foundations of TILLS training first.
How can you use TILLS results to help you plan effective interventions for DLD and dyslexia? TILLS users have asked for training on turning assessment into action, and we’ve delivered! In this three-hour virtual workshop for experienced TILLS users, learn the specific steps for developing interventions that build students’ language and literacy skills and support their academic and social success.
A great opportunity to learn directly from TILLS lead developer Nickola Wolf Nelson, Ph.D., this training uses authentic case studies and examples of actual intervention activities to demonstrate how to plan next steps after evaluation with the TILLS test and the SLS screener. Dr. Nelson will share real-world examples from her work with students representing a wide range of ages and profiles (DLD, dyslexia, or both). Her expert guidance will get you ready to translate assessment results into clear, targeted intervention plans across grade levels.
WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
You’ll come away ready to:
- Interpret TILLS and SLS results for differential diagnosis of DLD, dyslexia, or co-occurring DLD and dyslexia
- Use results to establish a targeted, evidence-informed, curriculum-based intervention plan with goals focused on sound/word, sentence/discourse skills, or both
- Develop goals aligned with student, family, and teacher priorities
- Engage your colleagues and families in meaningful, coordinated support for students
- Select methods for any further assessment, including baseline and progress-monitoring probes
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This virtual workshop is designed for intermediate to advanced TILLS users and is not intended as an introduction to TILLS. Familiarity with TILLS subtests—including their purposes, administration, and scoring procedures—is required for the best experience. (If you’re a TILLS beginner, attend the Foundations of TILLS virtual training first.)
