Lesley B. Olswang, Ph.D., CCC-SLP
Lesley B. Olswang, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is Professor Emeritus at the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA. Dr. Olswang is a recipient of a Fulbright Scholar’s Award, and Fellow and Honors of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Her research over the last 40 years has addressed treatment efficacy and implementation issues impacting the delivery of services for children with communication disorders, particularly young children with complex communication needs. This research program has included time series feasibility studies, randomized controlled trial studies, implementation studies and dissemination studies. Most have employed mixed methods. Her research has been funded through the NIH, Department of Education, the CDC, and the University of Washington, Institute of Translational Health Sciences. She co-chaired the American Speech, Language, Hearing Foundation’s Summit on Implementation Science in 2014. She has co-authored several articles on Implementation Science and Dissemination research in JSHLR and AJSLP.
